Villa Park Real Estate Offers a Small-Town Experience in Orange County

With a population of just under 7000 residents, and a landmass of only 2.1 square-miles, Villa Park real estate is in high demand. The laid-back, tree-lined streets and quiet atmosphere creates an inviting neighborhood. This highly prized bedroom community boasts just one shopping center among the single-family homes in the area, however the homes for sale in Villa Park easily reach into the million dollar range. However, with the close proximity of neighboring cities that include Santiago Canyon and Orange, extensive indoor and outdoor entertainment are just moments away.

It was back in 1888 when the community first made its mark on the map. After suffering major destruction of their agricultural crops (mostly grapes) that supplied the demand for raisins, Villa Park real estate was used to plant Valencia orange groves as a replacement. By 1912, production had risen enough that a major packing and shipping industry in the city began producing and transporting fruit to nearly every corner of the globe.

By 1961, Villa Park incorporated into the city it is today, except that the homes for sale in Villa Park have appreciated since then! Offering only limited retail and commercial business, the city has grown been developed into mostly residential properties that include outlying ranches.

Nearly Fully Developed

Today, Villa Park is known for its decorative landscaping and beautiful hillsides. Commercial development in the area is nearly complete, with very few empty lots still available. Nearly all homes in Villa Park are 2000 square-feet or larger. There are varieties of equestrian trails and numerous tennis courts dotting the community. Due to its limited space, there are no areas large enough to transform into public parks. However, many homes in Villa Park have their own backyard pools.

The Villa Park School System

Villa Park offers the younger residents in the community two elementary schools (Serrano & Villa Park). These schools are recognized as being good academically and a main reason supporting the values of homes in Villa Park. Older children can attend the Cerro Villa Middle School, and the Villa Park High School. All schools are supported by local Orange Unified School District.

Nearby Shopping
