Situated in the northern section of Orange County, real estate for sale in Placentia is encompassed within its 6.6 square mile area. The young residents that attend schools in the Placentia area are offered a mixture of independent and public schools. The Parkview School provides kindergarten through 12th grade independent studies for any student that is homeschooled, chronically ill or requires an alternative to the standard classroom-based instruction. Many student actors and junior athletes take advantage of the program. The public school system is supported by the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District. It operates ten elementary schools, three middle schools and three high schools.
