Real Estate in La Habra Heights Provides Unique and Secluded Rural Settings

With a population of just over 5300 residents, La Habra Heights is situated within Los Angeles County. Zoned for large single acre residential lots, the variety of residences within La Habra Heights are mostly ranch style properties. With a footprint totaling no more than 6.2 square-miles, the unincorporated area of the Heights was developed without streetlights or sidewalks and offers its residents an open space environment. At about the same time in the early 1900s, homes construction began along West Road. Many celebrities of the time moved into their newly constructed residences in La Habra Heights. Numerous modest farm homes and summer cottages were also built in the area. By the mid-1920s La Habra Heights had quickly gained a reputation as the “Second Beverly Hills” for many Hollywood stars.

A Horse Community

Nearly since the beginning, La Habra Heights has been known primarily as a farming and horse community. Many residents in the area continually work to improve the variety of enjoyable trails throughout the Heights.

A Volunteer Fire Department

Since the beginning of La Habra Heights, the community has gone through an evolution of firefighting methods. Today however, with a full-time fire marshal and chief, along with a highly trained staff of qualified paid volunteers, La Habra Heights is well protected against fire at a greatly reduced cost when compared to other communities in the area.

Over the years, avocado production has remained strong throughout the La Habra Heights. Since the 1920s, its unique residential estate character has been highly sought after as one of the most desirable home site locations in the area.
